I’m an energetic fourteen year old
who likes to play my fun PlayStation 3
But barely anyone listens to me
I want to make lots of friends that like me
For who i am, what i do, how I feel
I like my school and what it lets me be
Even though I like to think life is unreal
My name is Casey and people know it
But they use it in the way i hate it

Casey,
This sonnet is shaping up very well. It expresses some very personal thoughts and feelings and this strengthens the sonnet a lot. Now we need to check the rhythm to see if it keeps to iambic pentameter and work on the rhyme – as well as create a third quatrain.
I think this is going to be a very powerful poem, and I’m thrilled you chose to write about your own experience.
