Time/place: A public place

Characters: benvolio, mercutio, tybalt, Romeo, officer, Prince, lady capulet

Events: mercutio is angry when Romeo refuses tybalt’s challenge. He draws his sword, and in the fighting that follows both he and tybalt are killed. Romeo is banished from Verona.
