We chose to go to the rainforest in Ecuador with our daughter Julia because we are biologists and we thought it would be a good idea for our daughter to experience the world and our jobs. Kapawi is one of the only place in the world where you can see the rainforest in all its glory and it has around 500 species of birds that we could study. Our daughter would also love to see all these magnificent birds and experience the Achuar tribe.
